The Capitol Centre | Walton-le-Dale

The Capitol Centre is a large Retail and Leisure Park located in Walton-le-Dale, just south of Preston City Centre.

With no current totem signs on site, our client, The Harris Partnership, contacted us for advice and technical assistance for the proposal of 2no totem signs, to be situated within both the Retail and Leisure sides of the park, highlighting all their tenants present on the park with room for prospective tenants.

The process began with a brief from their team of architects and our studio provided a series of initial indicative totem designs, with the chosen concept being worked up into full pre-tender specification drawings. This was agreed by all parties involved and submitted as a planning application to the local council.

Following planning approval, a full scheme was prepared for manufacture 1no 9M and 1no 7M internally illuminated totem sign. Working alongside Seddon Construction on site, our professional skilled crews lifted the totem signs via hiab mechanical equipment and secured into position onto pre-set piling foundations. Our Project Manager was on site throughout the process to ensure the health and safety of all personnel was paramount at all times.
